My Art Work

I didn't do much work at all at school but that's because none of it ever interested me. But I always worked to my fullest with Art, I don't know i think it's because i can express myself in my pictures or something.. to be honest it's probably something a lot less deep than that like being attracted to swirly colours.
Any who, I found out that I got a grade A in Art ( asdfghjkl!) and I had a mini party inside over it! So i thought I'd upload photos of some of my work, this work has also got me accepted into an Art and Design course that I was trying to get into! yaaay!

This is a study of Nathan Sykes, 1/5 of boy band The Wanted. This took me an hour to draw. I used a  standard roll of white paper and I drew this with a HB pencil for the lighter tones and for the detail and i also used a 9B LYRA Graphite crayon for the darker tones. To get better effect i used my fingertips to smudge throughout certain areas.

This is a pastel study on a Chinese woman blowing out smoke from her mouth. I messed up on her eyes because one of them is different to the other but i thought it was still too good to start over. This took me just over 40 minutes. I think i did a pretty good job on her hair considering how greasy it looked in the photo i was studying from.

These are various drawings of shoes and heels I had painted/drawn and my Art teacher displayed them as a colourful collage on the Art room wall. The red bow shoes earned me Artist of the Month for 4 months which I was dead chuffed about! I focused a lot of studded heels for a while too.

This originally wasn't supposed to be entered, I was just doodling it in class one day. It's of an English man, I think I've drawn him to look quite posh. Again, this was drawn with a Graphite crayon.. as a lot of my sketches were.

I can't get this bliming photo to rotate errh! But anyway if you tilt your head to the right, you'll see that this is a white chalk and white and black pastel piece on 1/5 of Boy band 'The Wanted', Siva Kaneswaran. This is definitely one of my favourite pieces. I put in a lot of detail with the chalk regarding his collar and neck bones.
At the end of every project I had to write up an Artist Account about an artist who focuses on the same work as me and paint a piece of that particular artist' work. I decided to put them together. I chose Mark Swartz who is a Shoe Artist and i wrote up his artist account on top of my drawing of heels in a champagne glass which I think is creative.
This is a different angle shot of the collage my Art teacher placed together on the wall of all the shoes and heel pieces that I created. The collage drew attention in the room because of all of the different colours.
 I love it!!
This was originally a sketch of 1/5 of Boy band 'The Wanted', Max George but I'm just not that sure if it looks like him anymore so I tell people it's a drawing of just a random guy. I enjoyed drawing jackets during this topic, i find that I'm good at it!
This is a colouring pencil study from a pair of gorgeous heels that i saw on the River Island website, but i decided to add the polka dots myself,
When I had finished my 'Insects' topic, I thought of creating a little 'hut' made out of branches from trees and bushes and leaves all over it, and to display all of my insect pieces on and around it. I think it looks really great. Behind on the left you can see some of Bea's 'eyes' topic and also behind on the right you can see some of Shannon's 'Cats' topic. They also ended up with Grade A's too :)

Various insects on the 'hut' all by pastel.

Max George and Siva Kaneswaran performing
The card roll line of different shoes at the top is my favourite piece. I used glitter for the red socks and silver paint for the shoes in the first pair.
Tonal and shading study of Jay McGuiness' face
I made some laminated butterfly cut-outs and used swirly wire to make a little head-piece and i wrapped coloured tissue paper around the wire. They looked super cute on my Art teachers daughter! :)

My Crazy Mates

I have two best friends called Bea and Shannon.

This was taken in my bedroom before we went
                                           out.
                          (Shannon-left, Bea-right)

We were the only three girls in our class at High School because we were in the low-level class because we weren't as 'zoned in' as the girls that were sent to high level, infact we were basically idiots and nothings changed. Over a hell of a lot of unfortunate experiences we came to the conclusion that they wern't nice girls at all. Rude and snobby would come into their descriptions to be honest. They look down their noses at us and they think they're better than us but that's not true. Nobody is better than anyone. We know how to have a laugh and have fun that's all.

(Bea and shannon at the back on the right)
We were chillin with girls from the year below.
                                                                         Top girls!!

So myself, Bea and Shannon pretty much stick together, we're unbelievably close and trusting to eachother.
We're the complete opposite of the other girls.. we hardly did any work at school ( on GCSE year), we run around the country getting muddy and trying to have adventures. We just want to have a laugh the whole time, especially at very innapropriate times when theres a serious atmosphere.

                                              (bea-far left,Shannon-middle, Me-far right)
On the bus to a night out in Monaghan :)

It was hard when something like one or two of us didn't turn up at school and one of us is alone all day and its all ''I'm forever alone!!'' *weep weep and situations like that but in all honestly, we agree that we would rather have the maximum of two friends as long as we're genuine friends.

We have the most hilarious memories together

This is from when me and Shannon were getting
up to mischief in Monaghan & we came back on the
bus to find Bea asleep in a onesie we had never  seen before. hahaha!

This was before our mock interviews at school. Raided George at Asda
for smart work clothing. ''Tell them it's River Island they'll be none the wiser''

Like me, Shannon is a fangirl :)
Shannon is a hardcore fan of TV series 'The Vampire Diaries'.
She travels to Birmingham every June to meet the cast at 'Insurgance'
It's like a little convention where the fans meet the cast. Here she is
with one of the main actors Ian Somerhalder who plays Damon.
This was literally her life made.
He looks like  a cardboard cut-out in this photo lol!

I wish i could go back to when my hair sat like this..oh bum!
(Shannon couldn't keep her eyes open for one photo that night)
Bea did my eye- makeup (Mac)

Street antics
This is me trying to be an ''S'' and Bea trying to be a ''B''.
Me and Bea did a 10-week cookery course & we used to
just bail into McDonalds straight after every week..mmmm!
Playing in the park, we were about 14/15 here.
Me and Shannon at a Buffet restaurant for my 15th.. Duck face loverrr haha
Pretending to be trapped in the restaurant bathroom as you do...

We don't care about how we look, we just have fun

We found bin bags lying around at school so we did
what any other normal person would... BIN BAG RACING!!!
Piggy back race at sports day we tryed our damndest!
Aftermath of a night out, No makeup + camera = SCREAM!!!
Bea drew Dolly Parton on my stomach hahaha!

The Best memories of my life spent with these girls <3 ...

Primark Pastel Heels

I am looking at these in such awe right now.
I discovered these beaut's in the May issue of Look Magazine and I actually fell off my bed in excitement.
I imagine teaming them up with maybe a white, figure-hugging, knee lenght dress or I could wear them even with a pair of casual denim dungarees. For me they could be worn in a range of styles.
These pastel clashing with monochrome strappy heels are the definition of cute. They literally sing spring/summer.
Pastel colours are my big thing lately,
What's more they're from Primark, and here's the biggest surprise of all... they're £12. Yes, you heard right! A defo Must-Have!!
I can always count on Primark for quick, cheap and brilliant style.
